STUDIO PASTEL WORKSHOPS 2012
Instruction and Technique presentations by Barbara VanDyke Shuman
Subjects give me a focus for the class, but you may work on whatever you wish. Plenty of time for individual instruction.
Where: "Painted Lady" studio in Issaquah, 485 Front St. North. (directions below) Fee: $50 per workshop (or all materials provided for $15 or $65 total).

*Saturday Jan 21, 11:00 to 4:00. "Color choices in pastel painting" A presentation on color and working from a photo or from memory. Bring one or
two of your favorite photos to work from, or I will furnish some too.
*Saturday Feb 18, 11:00 to 4:00 "Shadows" No matter what we can't do without them. "If it weren't for the darkness, we wouldn't appreciate the
(high) light!" I’ll give a presentation and demo on the dramatic use of shadow.

*Directions: I-90 to Issaquah, FRONT ST. Exit, go right, STRAIGHT through the next intersection. Pass the Darigold Factory and we are the next
barnlike building on right . Parking lot South of building and go up the stairs . Note that we start at 11:00 because the parking lot should empty out at 10:40.
